Learning Circles are cohorts of EPIC Members dedicated to peer-supported learning around a specific topic, convened and facilitated by a leading expert in the EPIC community.

Circle topics are based on EPIC Collections, sometimes with supplemental materials from other sources. In EPIC Collections, experts in in the EPIC community synthesize resources on a specific topic and discuss the evolution and future of ethnographic work in that area.

How to Join a Learning Circle

Each year, new circles are launched in May during Learning Week. An active EPIC Membership is required to participate. Space is limited and registration is required (free for members). We want you to know that:

• We warmly welcome all EPIC Members to sign up – our learning will draw on the diverse backgrounds and expertise of peers
• Circle members commit to active participation in three virtual gatherings in 2025
• Circle members commit to completing a reading assignment before each session
